30 Year’s Upholstery Experience

Upholstered elegant sofa Percy Hickman’s upholstery apprenticeship started in the late 1970s with Wesley-Barrell, a long-established Oxfordshire company. As a new trainee, Percy’s first ever project was the re-upholstery of a Chesterfield sofa! Chesterfields are recognised as one of the most difficult upholstery projects, with intricate buttoning and detail required. This was the start of a successful career spanning 30 years, upholstering both new and antique furniture. From Wesley-Barrell, Percy joined Parker Knoll, the famous furniture manufacturer based in Chipping Norton.

PH Upholstery was established in 2006 and provides a comprehensive upholstery service from its workshop in Milton-under-Wychwood, some 20 miles from Oxford.

As a Master Upholsterer, PH Upholstery is the region’s chosen upholstery craftsman for one the UK’s largest soft furnishing companies.
